I welcome the measures to continue support and encourage the development of our indigenous film industry in Budget 2013 as the reliefs involved will help to provide stimulus to our tourism industry which in turn will provide a boost to our domestic economy. The Film Tax Relief Scheme which was introduced to promote the Irish film industry by encouraging investment in Irish made films has been instrumental in providing a platform for the Irish film industry to compete on a global scale.
