I welcome today’s announcement by Minister of State for Tourism and Sport, Michael Ring TD, that a total of 27 events across county Wicklow will receive funding for Gathering events and activities. I am glad to see the three events in Wicklow that are to receive flagship funding; The Greystones Arts Festival, the Hollywood Fair and Canada Come Home will provide much needed boost to these local communities across the county. The varied themes of these 3 festivals is matched with the variety of community events and festivals around Wicklow in 2013.
