Fine Gael TD for Wicklow, Andrew Doyle, commented on the enormous success of “Wicklow at Work 2014” , a significant event with a number of key objectives in mind to help profile Wicklow as the place to contribute to future success of SME’s.
Deputy Doyle said, “Wicklow at Work which was planned by the Wicklow Town and District Chamber of Commerce, with a clear focus of providing a platform to promote and grow SME’s in the area. With this in mind a number of key Government Agencies were in attendance, from the Local Enterprise Office to Enterprise Ireland, through to Intreo Offices and a cohort of successful businesses and burgeoning young entrepreneurs.”
“It was very encouraging to see so many new and successful businesses promoting at the event and also getting the opportunity to network and derive an even further knowledge base from the speakers, fellow business and support agencies”
“The event was exceptional in terms of the diverse range of high profile speakers, including Bobby Kerr, Chairman of Insomnia Coffee and David Walsh of Netwatch, a very impressive and informative presentation to help assist SME’s on their journey to success and to provide them with insight and motivation. Other notable speakers included Noel Davidson, Ulster Bank and Bryan Clarke of Deloitte Leyton advising businesses on R&D Tax credits”
“I was delighted to see a real sense of optimism at the event as highlighting what business can provide on a business to business and business to consumer basis both from a domestic and export point of view. This is vital in today’s competitive marketplace and I would like to pay tribute to the organisers of Wicklow at Work on an exceptional showcase” ,concluded Deputy Doyle.
