Doyle urges action on the crisis in language schools
Deputy Andrew Doyle (Fine Gael Wicklow/East Carlow) today called for urgent action in relation to the crisis in English language teaching schools before irreparable damage is done to Ireland’s image abroad as a country where thousands of foreign students come not alone to learn English but to experience Irish culture and hospitality. “It is extremely distressing and embarrassing to see yet another school go into liquidation,” said Doyle. “The casualties are the many hundreds of foreign students who have paid lot of money on air fares, tuition fees and accommodation here in Ireland.
