Fine Gael Minister of State for Food Forestry and Horticulture was speaking at the launch of the 2017 Wicklow Gardens Season at Kilmacurragh. The launch was organised by Wicklow County Tourism in partnership with the Office of Public Works. At the launch Doyle said “Wicklow is home to Ireland’s most beautiful gardens, including Powerscourt Gardens, Mount Usher and Kilruddery. I am delighted that over 20 gardens are opening their doors to visitors and garden enthusiasts over the next few months.’” In recent years The National Botanic Gardens at Kilmacurragh has received funding from the Minister of Arts to restore and preserve the gardens and buildings in the estate.
